Le vin rosé est-il un bon vin pour l'apéritif ?

Is rosé wine a good wine for an aperitif?

Wine is always an alcoholic drink of choice during aperitifs with family, friends, or even colleagues. A refined expression of the terroir, it highlights the dishes offered, from small appetizers to toasts and traditional chips. And if rosé wine seems obvious, is it nevertheless a good aperitif wine , which adapts to all circumstances?

Adapt the choice of rosé wine to the aperitif

There are several ways to approach the aperitif. Whether you choose a traditional aperitif, or organize an aperitif dinner, it will always be a good idea to adapt the choice of your bottle of rosé to the dishes that will be offered.

In any case, rosé wine is a wise choice, because it is soft, light and fruity at the same time, perfect for a delicate appetizer.

You will then have the choice between 3 types of rosé wine :

  • Fruity and fresh rosé , which you can drown with ice cubes, for a swimming pool rosé, and which will work wonders with traditional dishes for a successful aperitif, but also with seafood (oysters, shrimp, whelk, etc.) ;
  • Dry rosé , which highlights Provençal and Mediterranean recipes (anchovy, tapenade, etc.), as well as charcuterie;
  • Rosé with character , for dinner aperitifs composed of seafood, shellfish and shellfish, but also cheese.

Choosing rosé: the particular case of the aperitif dinner

Very fashionable in recent years, the dinner aperitif consists of serving guests with varied recipes, to be enjoyed on the go. If the concept is for guests to stay standing to eat, it can also take the form of an informal meal or an elaborate aperitif. The dinner aperitif is then accompanied by various drinks, of which wine is often at the center of the offerings.

The idea is then to find a bottle of rosé wine that will go well with all the dishes on offer. It must be admitted that the task can be difficult, because the recipes often mix many flavors: sweet, salty, spicy, bitter...

It may therefore be wise to select several different bottles of rosé wine , from various wine regions and estates. But if you had to choose just one, the Côtes de Provence rosé , low tannin and refreshing, remains a safe bet.

If you prefer fruity rosé wines , Languedoc wines will be more suitable, and if sweet rosé wines are your favorite, then turn to a rosé from the Loire Valley.
