What are the best food and red wine pairings?

Red wines are often full of character. Whether they are light or full-bodied, they must be selected carefully so that they accompany dishes with balance and harmony. The objective is then to find the right food and red wine pairing that will both reveal the aromas of the wine, but also enhance the flavors of the dish. A difficult exercise, which sometimes requires some advice from experienced winegrowers and oenologists.
For a wedding meal or a significant event, we recommend starting the meal with a light and supple red wine, then the power of the red wine will increase throughout the meal, and will adapt to the flavors of your menu.
The Berne estate then recommends the Terres de Berne red vintage, 2019 vintage. This AOP Côtes de Provence reveals a beautiful roundness and pleasant suppleness, as well as aromas of blackcurrant, liquorice and pepper. It then goes wonderfully with an aperitif, and its fruity flavors make it the ideal red wine to enjoy red meat, Southern cuisine, or even Asian cuisine, whether as an aperitif, starter, or main course. .
The Grande Cuvée rouge from Château de Berne highlights a magnificent pairing with confit lamb in a bread crust or the dark chocolate Bark and its Orelys whiskey ice cream, creation of pastry chef Eric Raynal, winner of the “Passion Dessert 2020” selection ” from the Michelin Guide, to be enjoyed at the restaurant of the Le Jardin de Berne estate.

What are the best food and rosé wine pairings?

If rosé wine has long had its place during festive and summer aperitifs, or for a refreshing tasting by the pool, it is today revealed as a major asset on our tables. It's then a matter of finding the perfect rosé wine to accompany your recipes, and finding the right balance between acidity, sugar and fruity aromas.
Are you planning a spicy meal with Mediterranean flavors and you are unsure about the choice of wine? The Origin rosé cuvée from Ultimate Provence is an AOC Côtes de Provence that will charm you. Then taste a delicious Moroccan tagine or a recipe from the South, and enjoy the beautiful freshness and intensity of the aromas of apricot and vine peach of this contemporary rosé wine.
For your Provençal dishes, you can count on the roundness and intensity of the fruity flavors of the Grande Cuvée rosé from Château de Berne. This bottle of rosé wine will work wonders with grilled fish or sunny vegetables.
The Grande Cuvée rosé from Château de Berne also offers a harmonious pairing with braised langoustines or a salad of warm green beans from the garden with apricots and basil.

What are the best food and white wine pairings?

The choice of white wines requires a certain attention, as the diversity of white vintages is great. From sweet white wine to dry white wine, the selection of white wines varies greatly depending on the dish they will accompany. So, if we easily recommend a sweet white wine to accompany foie gras, we will more readily turn to bottles of dry white wine to taste seafood products (fish, shellfish, seafood, etc.).
To amaze your guests, we recommend the Grande Cuvée blanc, from the Domaine de Berne. This Côtes de Provence appellation of controlled origin with its pretty, intense color reveals an interesting complexity to accompany foie gras, fish or white meat. The Grande Cuvée blanc from Château de Berne can also be enjoyed with smoked potatoes accompanied by bacon and seasonal black garlic cream. You will be charmed by its aromatic palette ranging from milk bread to pineapple, including licorice, grilled hazelnut and honey.
For more freshness and elegance, why not turn to the Terres de Berne white vintage? Full of sunshine, this white wine from Provence reveals aromas of pear and lemon, slightly enhanced by a touch of liquorice. This aromatic complexity will work wonders with noble fish.

What are the characteristics of Château de Berne vintages?

The Domaine de Berne vineyard is located in the heart of nearly 1,000 hectares of nature, between olive trees, Aleppo pines, holm oaks and umbrella pines. The Mediterranean climate offers its warmth and sun all year round, making it possible to obtain grapes bursting with sugar and fully reflecting the expression of the Provençal terroir. This is how, in the limestone soils of the 143 hectares of vines labeled organic farming since February 2021, the best wines of Provence are produced each year; offering rosé, red and white wines characterized by finesse and elegance.
The wines of Château de Berne in the Côtes de Provence and IGP Méditerranée appellation then find a beautiful balance and a lovely freshness, whether in white wine, red wine or rosé wine. We find fruity aromas on the palate, full of elegance and finesse.

What are the characteristics of the Origin cuvée from Ultimate Provence?

The UP Origin vintage returns to the roots of the magnificent terroir that gave birth to Ultimate Provence. The Origin vintage is the primary expression of UP, an organic wine, the grapes are carefully selected for exceptional juices. A meeting between four distinctive grape varieties of Provence which give it sweet fruity and spicy notes of Syrah then resonate the velvet of a hint of Cinsault and the crystalline freshness of Rolle.
