Oenotourism in Provence in the Château de Berne

At the Domaine du Château de Berne en Provence, oenotourism is in the spotlight. The team welcomes you all year round to make you discover the culture of vine and wine, from the Cuvées grape varieties, via the vineyards, the appellations, the harvest and the wine terroirs. Come in our Provençal field in Flayosc, in the Var and enjoy a stay on the Vins de Provence route, between gastronomy and viticulture.

A wine estate in Provence

Typical of the Provence region, our private domain dates from 18th century, and remains an original reflection of this beautiful wine region. The wine estate produces Côtes de Provence Rouge, rosés, white and sparkling appellation wines. By discovering the entire vineyard and property, you can learn the secrets of wine. Through a visit to our viticultural cellars and vinification cellars, you will discover the processes of wines development while enjoying a personalized and commented tasting.

The Château de Berne produces 750,000 bottles a year, AOC and IGP. These are exceptional wines that have a very good balance, combining quality, modernity and elegance. The field also produces vintage vintage vintages from this exceptional Provencal terroir. The rosy wines of the field are structured, have a very good hold and agree excellently well in the food-wine, cheeses and aperitifs.

The vineyard covers 600 hectares including 143 hectares of essential organic vines. Located in Haut-Var, the estate enjoys the protection of the forest and benefits from fresh nights which help the maturation of the grapes. The hillsides of the Château de Bern offer wines a refined mixture of freshness, finesse, aromas and reasoned agriculture.

High environmental value

The estate is one of the operations with the mention “High Environmental Value” (HVE). This mention ensures that the practices used on the exploitation tend to preserve the natural ecosystem while reducing impacts on the environment (water, biodiversity, soil, etc.). HVE is a guarantee of quality and environmental respect, values that are close to the estate.

The Château de Berne also holds the Green Star in the Michelin Guide. This star rewards chefs who have a particular appeal for ecology and gourmet cuisine. To discover the pleasures of starred cuisine with respect for the environment, the Berne garden, restaurant in the Domaine, highlights a gourmet exception card as well as a card of organic wine.
